Sam & Dean don’t fall under ‘normal’ relationships and forcing some kind of new growth and ‘normalcy’ is so wrong. Sam & Dean have something that is so wonderful, yes, it is co-dependent and not healthy in the real world, but in the Supernatural world it works. They are a square peg in a round hole that fits. They make mistakes, but they save people. They show Angels, Demons, that humans that choose family, that choose brothers; humanity over everything else is the only way to save the world. Maybe it is too simple to say it is just black & white, good or bad, but in a way it is.
I think the writers made a major mistake by having Sam say those words. Sam may have had his right to be feel betrayed, but he, no matter how you look at it, went too far. Sam is the only one that can truly destroy his brother and I don’t think he realizes what his words have done, and what the consequences will be.
Who wouldn’t want someone who would do anything, give anything to keep you safe? Who wouldn’t want to have someone that was as close to a soul mate that you can get? Someone that understands you more than you understand yourself. That is why what Sam said to Dean hurts me so much, he most likely destroyed the last particle of self worth Dean had left in him and how that plays out with the ‘mark’ I don’t know.
What will Sam do if everything goes pear shaped for Dean, walk away, or try to help his brother—will it be a little too late?
This show is killing me…my poor boys
